Terms &Conditions
These cover the website. The written agreement for your job covers the work, and where the two differ, that one wins.

What this page is
These terms cover your use of this website. Using it means you accept them. They are not the terms of the work — that is the written estimate and agreement for your specific job, and if anything on this site conflicts with it, the signed document governs.
Please use the site for what it is for. Do not attempt to disrupt it, scrape it wholesale, republish it, or submit false information through the form.
Nothing here is a price
This site publishes no prices, ranges or averages, and that is deliberate — see any service page for why. Nothing on this site is an offer, a contract, or a commitment to do work at a particular price.
A price becomes real when it is written down for your job, after somebody has established what is actually wrong. If what we find once the work starts changes the scope, you hear about it at that point and decide, rather than finding out on the invoice.
Not advice about your property
The explanations on this site are general information about how these systems work and fail. They are not a diagnosis of your equipment and they are not engineering, insurance or legal advice. Two houses with identical symptoms regularly have different faults.
Do not act on a page here in place of having somebody look. The emergency guidance — shutting off a water supply, leaving a building where you smell gas — is the exception, and is there because acting immediately matters more than diagnosing correctly.
What we need from you
For us to do the work properly you need to:
- Give accurate contact and property information
- Have the property owner's authority to request a visit or the work
- Provide safe access to the areas involved
- Tell us about known hazards, previous repairs, or a pending insurance claim on the same issue
- Tell us if the property is tenanted and who we should be dealing with on the day
Permission to contact you
By calling or submitting the form you agree we may contact you about that request on the number and email you gave. That is not a condition of buying anything and you can withdraw it at any time.
Warranty
Work we do carries a warranty, and its terms are written into the agreement for your job rather than advertised here — they genuinely differ depending on whether we supplied the equipment or you did, and manufacturers set their own terms on the parts themselves.
Ask before the work starts and you will have it in writing. A warranty described on a web page and not in your paperwork is not one you can rely on.
The site's content
The text and layout of this site belong to Sylvan Lake Plumbers. Link to it or print a page for your own use freely. Republishing the content elsewhere without written permission is not on.
Links to other sites
Where we link somewhere else it is because it may be useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Availability and accuracy
We work to keep this site accurate and available and we provide it as it is. Service details and coverage change. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website, and nothing here limits your rights under Alberta consumer protection law or any warranty in a signed agreement with us.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version.

Still Not Sure Where You Stand?
These pages are written to be read, not to be impenetrable. If a paragraph on one of them does not make sense, ask and we will explain it.
