General information, not a diagnosis

The service pages describe how these systems usually work, how they usually fail, and what typically matters when deciding between repairing and replacing. That is useful for understanding your situation. It is not an assessment of your property.

Age, prior work, water quality, access, how a house was built and what somebody changed during a renovation all alter the answer. Two jobs that look identical in a description regularly need entirely different work.

Why there are no prices here

This site publishes no prices, no ranges and no averages. That is a deliberate position, not an omission. A range broad enough to be honest about the variation in this work would be too broad to be useful, and a narrower one would be a number somebody arrives holding and is then talked down from — which is a poor way to begin.

What each service page does instead is set out what actually moves the cost, so that when you receive a written figure you can see how it was arrived at.

No guaranteed outcome

Good work lasts and reduces problems. It does not make a building immune to them. Weather, how a system is used, changes to the property, maintenance and work done by others all affect how anything performs afterwards. The warranty that applies to your job is the one written into your agreement.

Emergencies

If you smell gas, leave the building, do not operate switches or your phone inside, and call the gas utility's emergency line from outside. If a carbon monoxide alarm is sounding, get everyone out and call emergency services. If water is actively running, shut off the supply if you can reach it safely.

Do those things first. A website is not the right tool for a situation that is actively causing damage or putting somebody at risk.
